Installation of W Bro Robert Noel Ellis, Friday 9 October 2026

Dormer Lodge No. 6708 opened its 2026-27 season on Friday 9 October 2026 at the Masonic Temple, Clifton Road, Birkenhead, when W Bro Robert Noel Ellis PProvGStwd was installed in the Chair of King Solomon as Worshipful Master for the ensuing year. He was installed by the outgoing Master, W Bro Derek Blackburn PPrAGDC, and presented by W Bro Malcolm Cousins PPrSGW.

We were honoured to receive W Bro Paul Anthony Cotton PPrJGW as the Representative of the RW Provincial Grand Master of Cheshire, who gave the Address to the Brethren. We were also pleased to welcome visiting brethren from other lodges, including W Bro J Flanagan of Houston St Johnstone Lodge No. 242 under the Grand Lodge of Scotland.

The Worshipful Master then invested his Officers for the year. W Bro Derek Blackburn PPrAGDC takes his place as Immediate Past Master, with Bro Steve Cullen as Senior Warden and Bro Anthony William Penman as Junior Warden. W Bro Malcolm Cousins PPrSGW continues as Director of Ceremonies and Bro Richard Anthony Wood as Secretary.

In support of the Masonic Charitable Foundation and the Cheshire Festival, a donation of £300 was presented to W Bro Paul Anthony Cotton PPrJGW on behalf of the Lodge.

The brethren warmly thanked W Bro Derek Blackburn PPrAGDC for his year in the chair. The Lodge next meets on Friday 13 November 2026, and visiting brethren are always welcome.
